For the first time in its 23-year history, Ultra Music Festival is heading to the Middle East.

The globally known electronic music fest announced on Tuesday that it will be touching down in the United Arab Emirates capital of Abu Dhabi on March 4-5, 2023. The event will host two stages — a big room-focused main stage and a house-centric Resistance stage — with a lineup to be released in the coming months.

Ultra Abu Dhabi will mark the first time that the Miami-based company — or any other U.S.-based dance festival brand — has hosted a show in the Middle East. After launching in Miami in 1999, Ultra has become a global leader in delivering electronic music to markets the world, with iterations of the show happening in Peru, Colombia, South Africa, Singapore, China, Australia, Spain, Croatia and beyond over the years.

Ultra Abu Dhabi will bring together performers across two stages. The Main Stage will welcome headliners, and Resistance will welcome upcoming, underground acts. The line-up has not yet been announced, but if the upcoming Miami festival is anything to go by – which includes Armin van Buuren, Carl Cox and Swedish House Mafia – we’re expecting big-name acts.

Ultra Abu Dhabi is a Miami-based brand, which is more than 20 years old. Today, it can be found across the world in countries including Singapore, Spain and South Africa. The festival was originally scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi in 2020. After the long wait, it is finally making its Middle East debut. Plus, the flagship festival is scheduled to take place at Miami’s Bayfront Park on 24 to 26 March 2023.

Other exciting music festivals to look forward to in the UAE include Wireless Festival in Abu Dhabi. Taking place on Saturday, 11 March 2023, it will be held on Yas Island. So far, we know that there will be 13 live performances across multiple stages. Plus, the acts will include the biggest names from hip-hop, rap, R&B, grime and dance.

If you want to go to Ultra Abu Dhabi, re-registration for tickets has opened. Plus, if you sign up now, you can nab a special price.
