10. Gazo


Gazo is a french rapper who is Ghanaian origin, he started rapping at a young age and has his own label. He is known for implementing his raw voice and unique flow on Drill beats. In 2020, Gazo signed with Epic Records France and appeared on many features including Five-O  with Kaaris, Oro Jackson with Maitre Gims and Hamza as well. In 2021, Gazo released his first project titled Drill FR which included 15 tracks and features from artists such as Hamza, Luciano, Franglish and British rapper Unknown T.

9. Lefa 

Karim Fall AKA Lefa is a French rapper, dancer and is a founding member of the French rap / hip hop collective Sexion d’Assaut. In June 2015 he released his debut solo album Monsieur Fall with big commercial success. He was born to the Senegalese jazz musician Cheikh Tidiane Fall and his mother was a French choreographer and art therapist Christiane de Rougemont. He collaborated with artists Black M and Maître Gims, also members of Sexion d’Assaut, appearing on many of their albums. His discography includes songs like “Quelques minutes” and “Mauvais”

Sofiane Zermani is a French rapper of Algerian descent. He grew up in Saint-Denis in the northern suburbs of Paris. In 2011, he independently released the album Blacklist followed by Blacklist II in 2013. In 2016, he launched a series of videos titled #JeSuisPasséChezSo invited other less-known rappers to take part.During the same year he signed to Capitol Records, an affiliate of Universal Music France.

Clément Penhoat better known as Hatik is a French rapper and actor. He built his name with his project Chaise pliante in 2018. In 2020 he obtained a leading role of Apash in the French TV series Validé broadcast on Canal+. Hatik has released 4 different projects, Vague à l’âme, Chaise pliante II, Chaise pliante and America 2 – Connaissance et style. He has quite a few hit singles as well with his song Angela reaching number 1 as well as Ali and Wai. Having achieved so much in a short period of time, there’s only more to come from Hatik.

Élie Yaffa AKA Booba is a legendary French rapper. His father is Senegalese and his mother is French.  After a brief stint as a break dancer in the early 1990s, Booba partnered with his friend Ali to form Lunatic and the duo started making music and building a buzz in the french rap scene. After that, Booba embarked on a successful solo career, selling more than 10 million discs over his career and becoming the most legally downloaded artist in French history.

Julien Justin Fritz Schwarzer, better known by his stage name SCH, is a French rapper from Aubagne. Schwarzer was born in the Marseille suburb of Saint-Barnabé, his father is German and his mother French. He started writing songs at 13 and rapping by age 15 and became known in 2015 by appearing on Lacrim’s mixtape R.I.P.R.O. Volume 1. He released his first mixtape, A7, on 13 November 2015, certified gold with over 68,000 copies sold. He then released his first studio album, Anarchie, on 27 May 2016 produced by DJ Kore.

4.Lacrim

Karim Zenoud better known by his stage name Lacrim is a French rapper of Algerian descent. After leaving an impression on the scene by appearing on several tracks of his contemporaries, He released his debut album, Faites Entrer Lacrim, in 2012. The album peaked at number 16 on France’s official SNEP album chart. He then went on to release a mixtape, Toujours le Même, then his second proper album Né Pour Mourir in 2013 which did even better by reaching number 12 on the chart.

William Nzobazola better known by his stage name Ninho (born 2 April 1996) is a French rapper of Congolese descent who has released five successful albums —M.I.L.S (Maintenant ils le savent) in 2016, Comme prévu in 2017, M.I.L.S. 2.0 in 2018, Destin in 2019, and M.I.L.S 3. Watching the older kids rap in his neighborhood,he got fascinated and then practiced with his friends. Using the alias Ninho he broke out of the neighborhood with a series of mixtapes in the mid-2010s. 2018 reflected Ninho’s status as an emergent superstar, with appearances on over a half dozen charting singles, including the number 12 hit “Midi dans le Ghetto” by 4keus Gang.

PNL is a French rap duo consisting of siblings Ademo born Tarik Andrieu, and N.O.S born Nabil Andrieu. Formed in 2014, they released their debut studio album, Le Monde Chico the following year. With their raw, hypnotic and moving sound PNL received great reception to their album and kept on pushing forward from that point. In 2016, the duo released their second album Dans la légende, which has peaked at number one on the French Albums chart and sold over a million copies worldwide. Georges Stanislas Malif Dinga-Pinto, better known by the stage name Niska, is a French rapper from Évry, Essonne that is signed to Universal Music France and Barclay Records. He started gaining momentum with his first two albums Charo Life (2015) and Zifukoro (2016).  He then went on to permanently mark the French musical landscape in July 2017 with his single “Reseaux”. This smash taken from his third album COMMANDO became the biggest hit of the year with more than 200 million views on YouTube.
