Seki Supervillain is an up and coming hiphop artist in Dubai. Being born and brought up out here, he has been in the scene for quite a while. He is best known for his single ‘HORNS’ which was released back in 2017 under his previous stage name ‘IZZY’.

This doesn’t put a full stop to his journey. Seki has released his first ever album which is called ‘SEKISUPERVILLAIN’. He mentions that this album is a joint album with his close friend Nnamdi aka1takenandos who is also the producer of this album alongside Barst and Oche.

Sekisupervillain released his music video “Big Racks” which is a complete banger!

We got hold with Seki and briefly discussed his beginnings towards his music journey as well as his latest album.

1.Introduce Yourself?

I go by the name Seki Supervillain.

2.How would you describe your music style?

I don’t really know how to define my music style but I move solely towards hip hop/trap and I merge it with a lot of other different genres.

3.How long have you been doing what you’re doing and how did you get started in the first place?

I have been making music for 8 years now and who got me to start was my cousins way back , we all used to freestyle battle in Ajman corniche and at first I wasn’t really taking it seriously but I did it more and more until it just stuck on and now I’m very passionate.

4.You have an up and coming album “SEKISUPERVILLAIN”. Tell us more about your journey on what it took you to make this album.

It was a beautiful process and to be honest, the first few songs made off the tape, I didn’t even know I was going to make it an album and everything just fell into place, met and connected with wonderful talented people and just made it happen. It took me two years but it was worth it.

5.Do you have any features on “SEKISUPERVILLAIN”? If yes, please do let us know who?

Young gaby, Lowkey barone, Prettyboydo and Noahcarter.

6.Where do you find your artistic inspiration and from whom?

I find my inspiration everywhere I go about on a daily and through experiences I cherish but most of my inspiration comes from my close friends.

7.Being an independent artist, which is the one factor, above all else, that you currently desire most (increased music distribution, better quality production, more media exposure, more clubs and live performances etc…)?

Honestly, just a local platform and movement to grow around the city I’m in would be bless, just need the city to focus more on what is already here for the scene to grow.

8.If you could choose to work with some of today’s established artists or producers, to move your game to the top, with whom would you like to collaborate?

Lil Uzi, Young Thug, A$AP Ferg, Saint Jhn or Juice World.

9.As we can see in today’s day and age, fashion plays a big role in the music industry. Who would you consider your fashion icon and why?

ASAP rocky for sure!! The guy got on fresh attire at all times.

10.So what’s next after the album? What are we expecting from you? Is there going to be live performances or tour in regards to “SEKISUPERVILLAIN” ?

After seki super villain drops, I’m flying out to Philippines to do a couple shows, dropping a couple music videos then on December I’ll be flying to Nigeria for a couple shows too but I’ll announce a tour when it’s time.

11.What message would you like to convey to your audience and fans out there?

I love you all ,stay true to yourselves.
